Library Best Practices
On the special occasion of librarian’s day 12th August 2021, the Library Department in association with the College Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) had organized an online quiz program for our college students. The online quiz program received an overwhelming response from the student community. More than 89 students got registered to participate in the quiz. The Department of Library in Association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the College organised the State Level Webinar on “NEP: An Analytical Perspective” on 4th September, 2021.
Dr. Nanjunda, Associate Professor, Center for the Study of Social Exclusion & Inclusive Policy (CSSE&IP), University of Mysore, Mysore, was served as the resource person of the webinar and spoke on this occasion. The program was hosted on the Google Meet platform.

Special Lecture Report and Invitation.pdfಗ್ರಂಥಾಲಯ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಇತರ ವಿಷಯಗಳ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳ ಜೊತೆಗೂಡಿ ಅಂತರಶಿಸ್ತೀಯ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ವಿಷಯಗಳ ಕುರಿತಾ ವಿಶೇಷ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸ ಮಾಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆ. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸ ಹೊಸ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸಲು ಈ ರೀತಿಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು ಉಪಯುಕ್ತವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಇದರ ಮೊದಲ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ರಾಜ್ಯಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಜೊತೆಗೂಡಿ “ಗಾಂಧಿ-ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್ ಚಿಂತನೆಗಳನ್ನು” ಕುರಿತು ವಿಶೇಷ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಗಳನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಾಡಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಈ ಸರಣಿಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿವರ್ಷ ನಿಯಮಿತವಾಗಿ ಗ್ರಂಥಾಲಯ ವಿಭಾಗ ಮುಂದುವರೆಸುವುದು.
ಗ್ರಂಥಾಲಯ ತನ್ನ ಸೂಚನಾಫಲಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಪತ್ರಿ ತಿಂಗಳು ಯಾವುದಾದರೂ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟವಾದ ಚಿತ್ರಪಟಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸುವುದು. "A picture is worth a thousand words" ಎನ್ನುವ ಗಾದೆ ಮಾತಿನಂತೆ ಸಾವಿರಾರೂ ಪದಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆಯಬೇಕಾದ ಲೇಖನಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇವಲ ಒಂದು ಚಿತ್ರ ಸರೆಹಿಡಿಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ನೋಡುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸುವ ಹಿನ್ನಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಸಣ್ಣ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನವನ್ನು ಗ್ರಂಥಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆ.
ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಗ್ರಂಥಾಲಯದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಮಹತ್ವವಿರುವ ಸಾಕ್ಷ್ಯಚಿತ್ರಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಿನಿಮಾಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುವುದು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿ ತಿಂಗಳಿಗೊಮ್ಮೆ ನೆಡೆಸಲು ಚಿಂತಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು. ಮುಂದಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟ ರೂಪವನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾಗುವುದು.
